Streamlined eligibility criteria
To obtain an arms license, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria:

- Be a filer on the active taxpayer's list.
- Have no previous criminal record

License for security companies
Security companies that are lawfully registered in Punjab or engaged in substantial operations within the province are eligible to apply for arms licenses.
Business arms license
Additionally, business arms licenses will be issued to individuals or legal entities, provided they meet the necessary eligibility criteria. These licenses will specify all manufacturing, repairing, and dealership categories for the sale, purchase, or storage of arms, ammunition, or military stores.
A concealed carry permit is not required
One notable aspect of the new regulations is that license holders will no longer require a separate permit for carrying their weapons in a concealed manner, simplifying the process for responsible firearm owners.
